Going Brandless

[Brandless™ has] created a thoughtful, irresistible selection of the food and household products you reach for every day. Searching far and wide for high-quality materials and healthy ingredients, everything that's Brandless is also bad-stuff-less and goodness‑ful.

I started shopping Brandless because the company's values align with mine and their products are non-GMO, sometimes organic, fair trade, kosher, gluten free, no added sugar and more. I've become such an advocate for Brandless products that I wanted to share this wonderful company with all of you.

What is Brand Tax?

Brandless defines BrandTax as:

BrandTax™ is the hidden costs you pay for a national brand. We've been trained to believe these costs increase quality, but they rarely do. We estimate the average person pays at least 40% more for products of comparable quality as ours. And sometimes up to 370% more for beauty products like face cream. We're here to eliminate BrandTax™ once and for all.

Let’s Talk: Quality, Price and Impact

I just cannot say enough good things about Brandless products. Their cucumber mint glass cleaner leaves my windows crystal clear and smells divine. The tree-free (!!!) toilet tissue is made from 100% rapidly renewable resources and what it lacks in trees, it makes up for in quality. On top of all this, Brandless food is delicious. Some of my favorite snacks so far include Aged White Cheddar Partially Popped Popcorn (trust me on this), Organic Blue Corn Tortilla Chips (gluten free!) and Gluten Free Brownie Mix (because, chocolate.)

As Brandless puts it themselves: "Better stuff, fewer dollars." Every item at Brandless is $3 or less. (Some items, like Organic Long Grain Brown Rice, are 2 for $3!) It really is just that simple. This is shopping made easy, and affordable!

Here's something I didn't even know before writing this article - Brandless is committed to giving back by helping people facing hunger. Partnering with Feeding America®, the nation's leading domestic hunger relief organization, a meal is donated every time you shop on Brandless! As if I didn't love these guys enough already...

If It Can’t Be Local, Be Brandless

Something you probably know about me - and if not, you'll soon come to know - is that I am a huge advocate for buying local. I will always opt to shop small when I can, despite convenience and often price. That being said, not everything can be local. This is where Brandless comes in. I will still get my fruits and veggies from the farmer's market and cold-pressed juice from the local shop but for my toiletries, cleaning products, kitchenware, canned goods and so much more, Brandless is my new go-to.
